MKA USA Response to the Oklahoma Tragedy

The leaders and membership of Majlis-Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization, maintain solidarity with the people of Oklahoma and Texas. We too acknowledge the pain of families in Moore and Newcastle Oklahoma as well as all the areas affected. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and we are supportive of them in their long journey to recovery. As believing youth, we recognize that there are many questions that come up when loss of life, property and peace of mind occur. In spite of these challenges as brothers, friends and neighbors, we support the devastated communities that are affected. We pray for their recovery and their overcoming of all challenges. We all belong to God, and should He call us back may He give strength to the loved ones we leave behind. As a youth auxiliary pledging service to our nation and countrymen, we are merging with Humanity First in providing volunteers to affected families.

Fact of the Day

The Holy Qur'an was not authored by Muhammad. It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad, and written into physical form by his companions.

For many, this was the first time they saw Hudhur (abta) in person and for others, this was another amazing opportunity to serve once again. Whether it was before our beloved Hudhoor’s (atba) arrival, during his stay and into Jalsa Salana USA and even up until the moment Hudhoor (atba) departed for Canada, Atfal were volunteering in whatever way they could.  Atfal worked in various departments during the Jalsa and completed everything that was asked of them. Atfal were assigned to specific teams under the department of Khidmat-e-Khalq, including the refreshments team, the parking team and even security. Despite the sweltering summer heat, Atfal were ready and prepared to carry out their duties and remained positive even when the weather was uncomfortable. In fact, this is a beauty of Jalsa Salana that young boys developed a love for volunteering and helping the guests of Hadhrat Masih Maud (as).  InshAllah, it will be these young Atfal who will organize and carry the responsibilities of Jalsa Salana in the future. From Jalsa Salana USA, many of these busy Atfal would find themselves only a few weeks later at the National Ijtema in Milwaukee, with the excitement of Hudhoor’s trip still in their minds and hearts. At the end of this summer, these rising stars will always remember the summer of 2012 to be a very exciting and blessed one.  May Allah countlessly bless all the Atfal who helped in any capacity during this year’s Jalsa Salana and during Hudhoor’s (atba) U.S. tour. May Allah create a great passion of service in their hearts and enablet hem to become the  future custodians of the Jamaat, InshAllah. Ameen.
