MKA USA Response to Boston Attack

We are deeply hurt by the tragic loss of life in Boston earlier this week. We join all citizens of that city and the rest of the world in grief, and condemn this awful act in the strongest terms possible. While the details are still being uncovered, we, the Ahmadi Muslim youth, have begun to serve the city of Boston in any way we can -- from giving our blood at donor sites, to writing in local newspapers to express our pain and sympathies. May God grant strength and peace to all the victims families who have had to bear this terrible loss.

Fact of the Day

Did you know a marble statue of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) built in 1930 exists in the US Supreme Court frieze? He is described there as "One of the great law-givers of history."
QueensAtfalSportsDay2013On January 12th 2013, I went to Tahir class. I really didn’t want to go but I was forced. When Tahir class was over we went to the gym. There were about 17 Atfal who went together. When we first got there I was really energetic. The first game I had to sit out as a sub but the older Atfal let me play with them. I was really happy when we played a full court game. At first I was thinking that I wouldn’t be tired but when I was substituted, my legs were sort of sore.
During halftime everyone was hungry. Then as a surprise, Domino’s pizza came. Everyone was so happy. When I found out that there was only chicken pizza I didn’t want to eat it. Then when I tried it, it was delicious. After we ate the pizza, everyone got the basketball and we finished the game. Everyone began to take free throws after the game. It was alot fun because no one got left out. When we were all thirsty then there was fruit punch, orange juice, and a water fountain. I was extremely happy because Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and New York Jama’at provided a lot of things for us. The best thing of it all was that we stayed there for about 4 hours. Also, after the game some of us were exhausted. Then we got out footballs and soccer balls, and began playing that. I was very happy because when I was playing football I was a running back.

Then everyone packed up. When it was time to leave I had to take out 2 dollars and 25 cents for the bus. It was my first time on the bus, and it was very fun. On the bus it was my brother and our nazm Atfal, Shahnoor Piracha. We all had fun because we joked around, and played games on the iphone. When I got home I told my mom all the fun things I did.
