Khuddam from Queens attended a clothing drive on the Lower East side of Manhattan on Saturday, January 19,9th 2013. Khuddam were assigned to open all the bags of clothes donated by people and sort through them. Shirts, coats, pants, jackets, socks and other toiletries were separated and placed in different areas according to instructions. Many people, homeless or just in need for clothes, gathered in line and were provided with the supplies based on their needs. This experience helped Khuddam to be grateful to Allah for what they have and gave them an opportunity to understand and process the lives of those less fortunate ones. This experience also strengthened their hearts to be humble and continue to be.
