Service to our communities can be done in multiple ways and each carry it's own importance. MKA USA has decided to put our main focus on reaching our communities through direct contact. This means khuddam will be getting out to homeless shelters, hospitals, orphanages and other locations to serve food, donate supplies or simply convey our greeting. Service to humanity is not limited in any one way or another. There are many ways to volunteer and serve the community including, volunteering at a local food bank, hospital, fire station, disaster relief efforts, etc. etc. These indirect methods of assistance should also be captured and reported by each majalis.

MKA USA has done an amazing job of meeting and exceeding our target blood bag collections so why not continue the trend. The goal now has been changed to number of lives helped through our collection efforts. Each blood bag is said to assist 3 lives so our goal is to assist 10,000 people this year. Muslims for Life efforts get underway in August, so MKA has set the time frame for these goals to be achieved prior to the launch of MFL. Read more here.
